Textiles and the Triplett Sisters
Fall Season Adventures!
I have a confession. For several weeks now, I’ve had writers block. It wasn’t that I didn’t know what I needed to write about, it was that I didn’t really want to write about me. I much prefer writing about other’s amazing quilts or exhibitions. So, I’ve kept putting off this blog. I decided to resolve the issue by including some fabulous antique quilts for eye candy. It will make be feel better and I hope you’ll at least read the blog to know what exciting things are coming in the fall season.
First up is another trip to the Netherlands, where I will be teaching a brand-new quilt pattern I created with 5 unique paper piecing designs. I’m thrilled to teach the workshop in Overloon, but I’m even more excited to announce that Paper Pieces will be offering the pattern through the website and quilt shops. Naturally it is available in our etsy shop at this link or invite me to your quilt shop or guild to teach it there.
August 31 from 3-5 pm is an artist reception for the SAQA Exhibition “delightful” at the Leedy-Voulkos Gallery. I was fortunate enough to get a quilt juried into the exhibit. The opening exhibition is in the Crossroads District in Kansas City, MO. If that doesn’t work in your schedule “delightful” will be traveling for many months to other galleries and museums. I’ll try to keep you posted.
In October, I’ll be teaching at the American Quilt Study Seminar in Nebraska as well as vending. So, please stop by to say “hello.” In October we’ll also have a special exhibition at the International Quilt Market and Festival in Houston. The exhibition will feature 25 quilts from our new book “Hidden Treasures” also available on our website. Also, at the festival, I will be teaching eight different classes. Registration is now open at this link. I hope that you’ll join me for at least one class. Finally, as I continue to present trunk shows and teach workshops all over, please be sure to stop by and introduce yourself. I love meeting our blog readers!
